I am a dinosaur and am not tech savvy. I have a HP LaserJet 200 Color MFP M276nw which I use as a fax machine. Lately I have been flooded by junk faxes. I am registered in the No Junk mail. I tried sending a return fax to the generator asking them to take me off their fax list. That had no effect. I noticed that:
1. On the home page window, select "Fax"
2. Select "Fax Menu"
3. Select "Receive Options"
4. Select "Block Junk Faxes"
5.Add number
[Personal Information Removed]
6. No matter how I enter phone numbers, I still get junk faxes.
7. I call HP. I get someone in the Philippines. They tell me they cannot help me because my machine is no longer under warranty.
Could someone please write the solution in small baby steps, assuming you are talking to your mother who has no knowledge about computers?
THANKS!!!

@SBBk10, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
That is the right way to block unwanted numbers/spammers. If it is not working, let us try these steps:
Check if the unwanted fax you receive is from the number in your block list or a new number.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Remove the number from the block list and re-add it.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
