HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 All-in-One Printer series
Microsoft Windows XP

I currently purchased the all in one hp officejet pro 6978 for my small in home business. I do not have a landline and was wondering if there is a way I can fax without needing to get a landline. I currently have the printer connected to my network also. Thank you!

Sorry faxing requires a connection to an analog phone line.

However you can try eFax.

more and more people are ditching their landlines..  (myself included) it would be great if HP could figure out a way to incorporate that functionality into their printers.

It's only software, right?

That would mean every phone in the world would have to be connected to the Internet.
