can't login to HPSmart

I got a Pixelbook and set it up. No problem printing.  But when I try to scan from the printer to the Pixelbook, I am told to enable scanning in HP Smart.  So I download HP Smart and try to login or create a new account and get this error message.    

invalid_grant

SAZ110002: state parameter duplicate

HP Smart is not optimized for Chrome OS.

The application may - or may not - work in the Chrome OS Operating System.

Based on your experience, it appears "not".

What to do?

Consider using HP Print for Chrome as recommended in the Compatibility document.

Open the document > Open the section for Officejet printers > Find your printer
