Step-by-Step Fix for Scan Communication Loss

1. Restart Devices and Clear Memory

  • Power off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds
  • Restart your computer
  • Power the printer back on and reconnect to Wi-Fi

 

2.  Use HP’s Diagnose & Fix Tool (Windows)

  • In the HP Smart app, click Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Let it run a scan—it will automatically fix common connection issues.
    You can also access this tool on HP’s support page if needed.

 

3. Update Drivers and Firmware

Outdated or mismatched drivers can cause scan failures.

  • Visit:
    HP DeskJet 4675 Drivers & Firmware
  • Download and install:
    • Latest full feature driver
    • Firmware update for your printer
  • Restart your PC and printer after installation

 

4. Scan Using HP Smart App
