Hi @jcferny,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'd be happy to help. To better understand the issue, could you please provide a bit more detail about what has changed and what happens when you try to use Scan to Email?

A few questions that will help us narrow this down:

  • Are you scanning to an Office/Microsoft 365 email account, a Gmail account, or another email provider?
  • When you say "server," are you referring to an email server, an Office server, or are you connected through a VPN?
  • What is the exact error message displayed on the printer or computer when you try to scan to email?
  • Did the feature work previously and then stop, or are you setting it up again after a long period of time?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your email account password, security settings, or multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

In the meantime, please check the following:

  1. Verify that the printer is connected to the internet by printing a Network Configuration Report.

  2. Confirm that the date and time on the printer are correct.

  3. Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the printer's IP address into a web browser and check whether the Scan to Email settings are still configured.

  4. If you use Microsoft 365, Gmail, or another cloud email provider, verify that the account credentials have not changed and that the account is not requiring additional authentication.

Please let us know:

  • The exact error message.
  • Which email provider are you using?
  • Whether you're connecting through a company network, server, or VPN.

Once we have those details, we'll be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
