won't print scan or copy it says can,'t find printer

@dp102, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Copying does not require a computer or a printer driver to be installed on the computer. 
  • If you are not able to make a copy, this could be a hardware issue.
  • Do you have any blinking lights on the printer?

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Kindly perform steps 5, 12, and 8 respectively from this document. If the printer is able to make a copy and print test report, check the connection between the printer and the PC.
