Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand, you're getting an error message on your printer "Device is busy try again later"
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked fine?
Were there any hardware/software changes made?
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
Hard Reset:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Firmware Update: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2rHKwDD
Let me know how this goes,
For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,
And your device is up and running again,
Have a great day 🙂
Cheers 🙂

Hello,
the printer model is Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw, the printer was installed on 2 computers windows 10 and Windows 7, the problem is that if |I want to copy any document in color or black I get the message: "Device IS BUSY. TRY Later
I don't need any computer to be connected anyway if I want to copy a document straight on my printer?
we paid a lot of money for that printer and I thought that Hp is the best, please can you help us with this problem?
Can you send us any manual or troubleshoot or advice on how to repair it?

Thanks for the detailed reply,
You are correct, it's not required to connect the printer to the computer to make a copy.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you facing this issue after an update?
How long are you facing this issue?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?
I suggest you do a Hard Reset
(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Try to copy.
Keep me posted, how it goes!
