Hi @Michael1990ut,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the document feeder on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e is not working, try the following troubleshooting steps.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the document feeder area and carefully inspect for any jammed paper. Gently remove any obstructions.
Clean the Feeder Rollers:
- Dust or debris on the rollers can cause feeding issues. Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water or rubbing alcohol to clean the rollers inside the document feeder.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer and clear any minor issues.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check this via the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel settings.
Check the Document Settings:
- Make sure that the document feeder is set to work properly in the printer settings. Ensure that the document is placed correctly and the feeder is enabled.
Reboot the Printer:
- Sometimes simply turning the printer off and back on will resolve temporary glitches.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
