duplex scanning on 6830

I am unable to scan front back with the doc feeder.

I'd like to help!

I understand you are trying to scan on both sides.

The HP Officejet Pro 6830 does not have Auto ADF Duplex capabilities but only manual duplex scanning from the HP software (which will guide you to reinsert the next page).

1. Place the document or photo printed side down on the scanner glass, then close the scanner lid.

   If your printer has an automatic document feeder (ADF), you can use it to scan multiple page documents at one time. Do not load photos in the ADF to prevent damage to the photos and the printer.

2. check the scan on both sides option to scan on both sides 

3. In the HP Scan window, click Scan.

4. Select your printer name in the Scanner menu, then select a scan job type from the Presets menu.

5. Click the down arrow  in the upper right corner of the window to view and change scan color, orientation, and quality settings.

6. Click Continue.

   The printer scans the item.
