When I try to perform a color copy on the printer, I get message that color copying is restricted. I want to enable color copying. I presume color printing is enabled since I have printed color in past. I don't see how to enable color

Well, it turns out you can create a color copy on this printer. The issue is, no where on HP support or specs or instructions can the answer be found. Maybe somewhere, but doesn't come up on search or on youtube search. The solution is to use the control panel on the printer. You have to access the copier decision tree and do your best figuring own the choices. Just using the color copy button on the control panel will not give you a color copy. Maybe it is possible to enable color printing from this decision tree. For some reason HP did not offer enabling from the online printer homepage or from the smart assistant app.

I do not have a menu map for this product but in most cases you need to login to the embedded webserver of the printer (typing the IP address of the printer into a browser)  or use the toolbox to access the embedded web server and look for a menu called access control and enable color copying.

printer adm online.pngThanks for the reply. I accessed the online printer web server and looked for a setting before posting the question above. I did not see anywhere a way to enable color copying. After reading your reply, I went back online and searched again. Nothing. The closest I came to access control was what you see in the current attachment. Did not find anywhere the option "access control."
