Details / Comments

Essentially, the size of the scan content cannot be changed during the scanning operation.

You can change the area of the image that is included in the scan - for Example, Entire Scan Area or Crop to a certain size.

You can change the amount of detail stored in the scanned data by increasing the DPI / resolution.

Scanning at a higher DPI / resolution increases that scan details pulled from the image when it is scanned.

If the image that is being scanned is of very high quality, increasing the DPI / Resolution can pull more of the useful data from the image while it is scanned.

NOTE:  If the image / file being scanned is low quality (low density), scanning that content at a higher DPI won't help.

Later, when that saved Scan image file is printed, the "extra" data inside the file produces a better quality printed image when that image is printed at a larger print size.

When the data is printed, you can change the print size.

Depending on the Operating System / version, the software or application you are using, the image file can be printed in any size you want on one or more pieces of paper.
