Thank you for posting your issue on this forum.
To assist you better, can you provide the following information?

1.Are you using HP Smart app to scan? Otherwise, please share which app your using.

2.Is there any error prompt when scanning? It would be helpful if you can share screenshot of the error.

3.When this happens, can you try to ping the printer's ip address in your PC?

    Steps: You can launch CMD prompt on your PC, then type ping<space><IP address of your printer>
