My HP Photosmart eStation c510 stopped working 2 days ago.  I have  Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit operating sys.  I have done everything to isolate the problem, but no solution has corrected the problem.  My computer sends the print job to the printer, but I get the error message: printer failed and alignment failed.  I have rebooted the printer-nothing or than bells, I've tried to copy-nothing, scan-nothing, and all software is up to date.  I printed some color and black and white photos the other day with out any problems.  I hope a solution is out there, I like the printer and features but....

Thanks for any help!  Scrapman

Sorry that you are having a problem with the printer not printing.

If you are having a "alignment failure", then it is a hardware issue with the printer itself.

Try to take the print head out and manually clean the bottom with lint free cloth and water. Lift the latch to the right of the cartridges and take the basket area out. This is the print head.

You can also clean the cartridges, or replace them. This is a ink system problem. Try the link below and see if this will help.

After performing these steps, and see if you can perform a self-test or printer status report from the printer itself.

This problem has been resolved.  I tried all solutions given and I thank you all.  None of them worked, so instead of waisting my valuble time looking for solutions and have a helpful forum community working.  I tossed it out from the 18th floor trash shoot.  The new HP printer works great!  Scrapman

c510 printer stopped printing cpying etc.  docs sent from Mabcbook say they are printing then error message"check printer for error"  there is nothing showinf at printer.  I have reset to factory settings, unplugged it for 6 mos. Uninstalled and reinstalled.  Is it fried?

I think the "ZEEN" is the issue.
