Hi @Bugsy191

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

To set up faxing with your HP OfficeJet 9120e directly from your desktop, you can use the HP software provided with your printer for faxing capabilities. Here's how to set it up:

HP OfficeJet Fax Setup

  1. Install HP Software: Ensure that you have installed the full feature HP software that came with your printer. This software includes the necessary drivers and fax utilities for your printer.
  2. Create a Desktop Shortcut for Fax:
    • If the HP software is installed, check within the HP program group in your Start Menu for a fax utility such as "HP Send Fax".
    • You can create a desktop shortcut by finding the program in your Start Menu, right-clicking on it, and selecting 'Send to' -> 'Desktop (create shortcut)'.
  3. Using HP Send Fax Software:
    • Launch the HP Send Fax software from your desktop shortcut or the Start Menu.
    • Add the documents you wish to fax either by scanning them using the printer's ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) or by selecting digital documents from your computer.
    • Enter the recipient's fax number and any other required details.
    • Optionally add a cover page if needed.
    • Click 'Send' to fax the documents directly from your computer without printing them first.

Make sure your printer is connected to a telephone line, and the setup is completed in the printer’s control panel settings to support fax functions. For multiple pages, using the ADF is optimal as it allows you to scan and fax multiple pages efficiently.
