HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I have a 6 month old,  HP Pro InkJet 7740.  It prints just fine from the computer but when I try to scan or copy either from the computer or from the 7740, it has colored lines on half the page and a copy of the page on the other half.  Length wise top to bottom colored lineThis is what I get scanning or copying from printer or my computerThis is what I get scanning or copying from printer or my computers

Hi @Cluts_Me2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the print head or ink cartridges on your HP Pro InkJet 7740 printer. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix the issue.

  • Clean the print head: Use the printer's maintenance tools to clean the print head. This can help remove any clogs or buildup that may be causing the issue.
  • Check ink levels: Make sure the ink cartridges are not low or empty. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
  • Replace ink cartridges: If cleaning the print head and checking ink levels doesn't resolve the issue, try replacing the ink cartridges with new ones.
  • Check paper quality: Make sure you are using the correct type of paper for your printer, and that the paper is not damaged or wrinkled.
  • Update printer drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
