Hi @Bjaclapec,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To scan a document to your computer using the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:
- Option 1: Using the Printer's Control Panel
Load the Document: Place the document you want to scan on the scanner glass or into the document feeder.
Select Scan: On the printer’s control panel, touch the Scan icon.
Select the Computer: The printer will list available computers. Choose your computer from the list. In your case, you should see options like DESKTOP-6MTGM8P (USB) or Scan to DESKTOP-6MTGM8P. If your computer is not listed, ensure it is connected to the same network as the printer and that the necessary software is installed.
Choose the Scan Destination: Select the type of scan you want to perform (e.g., scan to email, scan to folder, etc.).
Start the Scan: Follow the on-screen prompts to adjust settings if needed, and then start the scan.
- Option 2: Using the HP Smart App
Install HP Smart: If you haven't already, download and install the HP Smart app from the HP Smart website or your device's app store.
Open HP Smart: Launch the HP Smart app on your computer.
Add Your Printer: If your printer isn’t already added, click on the + sign to add it. Follow the prompts to connect the printer.
Select Scan: On the app's home screen, click the Scan tile.
Choose the Scan Source: Select the source (scanner glass or document feeder) and adjust the scan settings as needed.
Start the Scan: Click on Scan. The document will be scanned and displayed on your screen.
Save or Share the Scan: Once the scan is complete, you can save it to your computer, email it, or share it via other methods supported by the HP Smart app.
- Option 3: Using Windows Fax and Scan
Open Windows Fax and Scan: Search for “Windows Fax and Scan” in the Start menu and open it.
New Scan: Click on New Scan in the toolbar.
Choose Your Scanner: Make sure your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is selected as the scanner.
Adjust Settings: Choose the type of document, color format, and resolution settings as needed.
Start the Scan: Click Scan to start scanning your document.
If your computer is not listed or you encounter connectivity issues, ensure that:
- Your printer and computer are both connected to the same network.
- The necessary drivers and software are installed on your computer.
- The printer's software is up to date.
- The USB connection is secure (if using a USB connection).
If the issue persists, restarting both the printer and the computer can sometimes resolve connectivity problems.
