Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  Apologies for jumping in here.

The ADF scanner on the Envy Pro 6400 series scans 1 sided only.,  In order to copy 2-sided (Duplex) documents, you'll need to manually reload the documents back into the ADF as well as the 1st printed pages.

This example shows you how to do that - it's also a single sided ADF scanner and shows you how to reload the document at the ADF as well as the printed pages to copy the 2nd side.
