@JM3141, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your scanner issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here’s how you can set up the scanner for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer on your laptop:

Check Scanner Driver Installation

  1. Open HP Smart App (If not installed, download it from HP's official website).
  2. See if your printer is listed. If not, add it by clicking "Add Printer" and following the setup instructions.
  3. Try scanning a document using the HP Smart App.

Use Windows Scan Tool (For Windows Users)

  1. Press Windows + S and search for "Windows Fax and Scan" or "Scan" (Windows Scan App).
  2. Open the app and check if your printer's scanner appears as an option.
  3. If it's missing, move to the next step.

Reinstall the HP Printer Software

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program.
  2. Find HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e, right-click, and select Uninstall.
  3. Restart your laptop.
  4. Download and install the latest full-feature software from the HP Support Website.
  5. During installation, ensure you check the box for Scanner Support.

Check Scanner Settings

  1. Make sure your printer and laptop are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Check Windows Device Manager:
    • Press Windows + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Imaging devices or Printers.
    • If the scanner is missing or has a yellow warning sign, update the drivers.

Try HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP website.
  2. Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix scanner issues.

Let me know if you need further help! 😊
