Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There seems to be a problem with HP in that many posts are asking how to scan documents without having to go through HP cloud services. I have a hp smart tank plus  571 and all I want to do is to just scan my documents. It seems that HP have introduced a fix/patch so that I have to go through their cloud services, this I do not want to do. So how am I able to change the settings so that when I click on my printer icon to just scan?

Hi,

Follow HP Easy Start by selecting the HP Basic or Full Feature Software option:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/HPEasyStart_12_0_5120_38.exe

Once completing the installation, scan using the HP Scan icon on your desktop:

Forcing customers to use your cloud services and signing into the HP account is just plain WRONG. I don't want your HP Smart app. ***Bleep***. Give me back what was in the utility program just about one week ago, before the program scan feature started malfunctioning!! WHY did HP disable a perfectly functioning scan feature?!?
