hp 7645 phone line hook up with fax and answering machine and ciso modem

I do not know how to hook up existing phone line with envy 764

5 printer , cisco modem and a answering machine. There are two phone outlets on the cisco modem/router

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to setup fax connection on HP Envy 7645 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

1. plug any telephone devices from the phone jack where you are connecting the HP printer.

2. Remove the yellow plug from the port labeled 2-EXT on the rear of the printer.

3. Unplug your answering machine phone cord from the phone jack, and then connect the answering machine phone cord to the port labeled 2-EXT on the rear of the printer.

4. Connect one end of the phone cord that came in the box with the printer to the phone jack, and then connect the other end to the port labeled 1-LINE on the rear of the printer.

   Make sure that you use the phone cord that came with the printer to connect the printer to the telephone wall jack. If you do not, you might not be able to fax successfully.

5. From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup ().

6. Swipe up on the display, touch Fax Setup, touch Setup Wizard, and then follow the prompts to set up the printer for faxing.

Select your basic fax settings.

Run a fax test.

Run a fax test to make sure that the fax is set up correctly.

1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup ().

2. Swipe up on the display, touch Fax Setup, and then touch Tools.

3. Touch Test.

   The printer prints a report.

4. Review the Fax Test Report.

   • If the report indicates the printer passed the test but your printer has problems faxing, check the fax settings listed in the report to make sure that the settings are correct. A blank or incorrect fax setting can cause fax problems.

   • If the report indicates the printer failed the test, review the report for more information about fixing the problem.

Thanks for the assistance, however I have a FoIP connection for my telephone service thru my cable provider. I must connect my Cisco  router in the configeration.

I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support for further assistance. If your product is Out of warranty then remember to choose the paid options to get the tech support number.

They might have multiple options to help you on this.
