Hello everyone,
if someone can help me please, i just bought HP color laserjet pro mfp m283fdn, and I cannot figure out how to scan from printer device(flatbed) to computer. I do not want to start scan from computer, i want to start scanning from printer display, and save scans to a computer.

Printer and computer are connected with usb cable, and only options that i have on printer display are
- Scan to network folder
- Scan to USB flash drive
- Scan to Email

Is it really possible that this device cannot scan to usb connected computer?

Hi,

Most HP Laserjet printers do not support Scan to Computer, you may set an alternative option to scan from the printer by connecting it to the network, not with a USB, or you may connect a USB Stick to the printer and scan to it, then it can be accessed from the computer too.
