How get HP Envy 4500 scan multiple pages into one pdf doc from laptop - HP Laptop 15-dw0030nr.  Was able to do on old laptop, but not new one.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:

The following resource will help you :
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Alternatively, this link will also help to download and install the FULL feature software.

https://123.hp.com/us/en/
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

The suggested solution to download the up-to-date software and load it was a good start.  However, this new version had a functionality change, so had to figure out you now get the multiple pages through the email option and not through the document option as before.
