It sounds like your HP OfficeJet 8015e needs to be properly set up for scanning on your Mac. Here’s how to get it working:

1. Install HP Smart App

  • Download and install HP Smart from the HP Support page.
  • Open the app and add your printer.

2. Enable Scan Function

  • In HP Smart, go to Printer Settings.
  • Select Scan and follow the setup instructions.

3. Check Scanner Connection

  • Ensure your printer is connected via Wi-Fi or USB.
  • If using Wi-Fi, confirm both your Mac and printer are on the same network.

4. Use HP Easy Scan

  • Download HP Easy Scan from the HP Support page.
  • Open the app and select your HP OfficeJet 8015e.
  • Try scanning a document.

5. Reset Printer Settings

  • Restart your Mac and printer.
  • Reset the printer’s network settings and reconnect.
