Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
  • Clean the contacts if necessary. You can use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset some errors.

Check Copier Settings:

  • Access copier settings through the printer’s control panel and ensure that settings like contrast are not set to an extreme.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer model. Sometimes updates can resolve hardware issues.

Run a Printer Test Page:

  • Print a test page to determine if the issue is specific to the copying function or if it affects overall printing.
