Hello @Aqeel90
It sounds like two issues are happening:

1. ESW (Embedded Web Server) asking for “Need to Allow Features”

This usually appears when certain scan or network features are locked down.
To change these settings, you must log in to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) with the administrator password.

2. EWS Asking for Administrator Password

For HP LaserJet E5800 MFP series (often the E58040 model), the admin password is required for any configuration changes.

Try the following:

Option A — Default Admin Password

If your organization has not set one:

  • Username: admin

  • Password: (leave blank)
This sometimes works depending on your configuration.

Option B — Check With IT or the Previous Administrator

If the password was set before, only the admin/IT team can provide it.
HP cannot recover or bypass an admin password for security reasons.

Option C — Reset the Printer (If Allowed)

If you have permission and nothing else works, you may perform a factory reset:

  1. On the printer control panel → Settings / Setup

  2. GeneralResetRestore Factory Settings

  3. This will remove the admin password.
(Note: This will also reset network settings; you may need to reconfigure the printer.)

After Logging In

Once you have admin access, go to:
Scan → Quick Sets / Digital Sending → Enable Scan Features

Hope this helps!
