Hi @rahul8721,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Printing issues with the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M128fw, especially printing light documents even after changing the toner, can be caused by several factors. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and fix the problem.

Check Toner Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the toner cartridge is correctly installed. Sometimes, improper installation can lead to light prints.
  • Gently shake the toner cartridge from side to side to distribute the toner evenly inside.

Clean the Printer:

  • Dust and debris inside the printer can affect print quality. Clean the inside of the printer, especially around the toner cartridge area.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the flatbed scanner glass and the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) if your printer has one.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Verify that the printer settings are correct. Ensure that the print density setting is not set too low.
  • On the printer control panel, navigate to System Setup > Print Quality > Adjust Density and increase the density setting if needed.

Run a Cleaning Page:

  • The printer might need to run a cleaning page to clear any toner build-up. This can usually be found in the printer’s maintenance menu.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model.

Print a Configuration Page:

  • Print a configuration page from the printer’s control panel to check if the issue is with the printer or the document.
  • If the configuration page prints correctly, the issue may be with the document or the way it is being scanned.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Open the printer and check for any obstructions that might be interfering with the toner distribution or paper path.

Replace Imaging Drum (if applicable):

  • If your printer uses an imaging drum, it might need replacement. A worn-out imaging drum can cause light prints.

Use Genuine HP Toner:

  • Ensure you are using genuine HP toner cartridges. Third-party or refilled cartridges may not provide the same print quality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
