Hp officejet 4652 printer will not scan anything from the computer tells me its not hooked up but will print from it

If printer is in Wi-Fi direct mode you can scan using HP Smart after making a connection as described below.

If printer is connected to the  router you can scan using any scan app on the PC without having to connect first.
