HP Officejet x476dw mfp

We have an HP Officejet X476DW MFP printer/faxer in our office and I would like to set up fax confirmations that show an image or copy of what we faxed.

I was able to follow set up of basic fax confirmation.

AAt my last office (on a different device), when you got a fax confirmation, there was a scanned image showing part of what you sent as proof when the fax went through. Is there a way to get that image on this device?

Im having a hard time finding a human to contact and not sure where the office got this machine.

Thanks!

Try this:

1. From the printer control panel display, touch Fax .

2. Touch Setup .

3. Touch Reports and touch Fax ConfirmDtion .

4. Touch On (Fax Send) .

5. Touch Fax confirmDtion with image.

No 😞

Under reports there is no fax confirmation option. The only place I can find that is under advanced fax, and then the options are just on and off. I have on but it doesn't give an image.

I still can't find a solution to this. Anyone I can call?

Thanks!

I apologyze the instruction was not accurate. Here is a link to the user manual:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03640400

On page 20, under Advanced Fax Settings, it states:

 Fax Confirmation

    On (Fax Send)*
    On (Fax Receive)
    On (Send and Receive)
    Off
Prints a thumbnail image of the fax on the Fax Confirmation page, if enabled.

TY Charles, so that is how I set up...except for the thumbnail image. Do you know how to enable that?

Thanks!

When you touch and select "On", another screen should show let you select between "with thumbnail image" and "without thumbnail image", the default is without. Maybe somehow that selection didn't show, or you missed it? Try go back to the settings and touch the "on" again.

Im still not seeing it. I even went through the other screens. This is the only option for turning on confirmations that I can find. Any suggestions? When you click that, that's the last option. No other screens or windows.

These radio checks, when touched, should go to the next level, for the selection. At least on mine, that's how it works.

Sorry I don't have the exact model as yours, but you would think that have some consistancy.

It is odd that a radio check acts also as a submenu...

TY for your help Charles. Since you are an employee, if I wanted to call and speak with someone about this to help me, what number should I call? Thank you very much
