no landline now, alternative for faxing from Officejet 4650, with Mac mini

cable co went to modem only, no  more land line, connected printer[officejet 4650] to router but still get message 'no answer' to my faxes even when they are bing wait for

Let's try these steps

Open the document you want to fax, click File > Print > Printer, and then select the printer that includes 'Fax' in the name (Example: HP OfficeJet Pro 4650 (Fax)). Enter the fax number in the To menu, and then click the pop-up menu at the center of the window to access additional settings.

NOTE: If the fax printer is not listed, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, click the plus sign to add the printer to the Mac, and then return to the document to select the printer.
