Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Just wanted to let everyone know if they are having an issue with being unable to scan from the printer to the computer you must install it VIA Network as this feature doesnt work over the USB. 

 

1. install printer over the "network".

2.  Open the HP software program

3. in the scan category look for ' Manage Scan to Computer".

4. Enable the scan 

 

 

Now on the device ( the scanner/printer) try to scan and you will notice that it will work..

Hi @qhdevon43,

Thanks for using the HP Forums and sharing your knowledge.

 

The Scan to Computer needs to be enabled only if the printer is connected via network (Ethernet or Wireless)

 

This resource will show you how:

 

Scan to Computer

 

It is automatically enabled if it's connected by USB.
