Hi ,
I'm on Windows 10 and have updated my HP drivers and I have NO PROBLEMS scanning a document to my computer.
But I get, every so often, an ominous error message - black background, bright yellow triangle -that says my priner cannot scan to my computer. There is no HP identifier on the message.
It looks like some malware that Bitdefender missed. Any ideas on whereI can find and eliminate it?
Thanks
Greg

This is an error on the part of Windows. It thinks the printer has lost the connection, when in fact, the connection is still ther.
I have networked printers at home, and I typically see this message once a day.
When I then click on the desktop icon to check the problem, the routine is able to communicate with the printer with no problems.
My printers are connected through ethernet cable to a switch, so I KNOW that the connection is not being dropped.
There does not seem to be a way to STOP Windows from generating this message.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
