@Chaserona, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 is able to print via email but won’t scan on your Windows 10 (32-bit) system. Let’s walk through the steps to get your scanner working again.
Check HP Smart App Installation
Make sure you have the HP Smart app installed, as it’s the recommended way to scan documents.
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click Scan.
- If the scanner is not detected, proceed to the next step.
Check Windows Services
Sometimes the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service may be disabled.
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Locate Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).
- Make sure the status is Running and the startup type is Automatic.
- Restart the service if needed.
Reinstall the Full Feature Software
If the issue persists, reinstall the full driver package.
- Uninstall the existing HP software from Control Panel > Programs.
- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the full software from the link above.
Try Scanning from the Printer Panel
- On the printer’s touchscreen, tap Scan > Computer.
- If your computer is not listed, ensure it’s connected to the same network and HP software is installed.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
