Hello all,

 

I am trying to print .pdf documents that I have uploaded to an USB thumb drive.  The drive is recognized by the printer but it only allows me to print "Pictures" or "Scan" files to the drive.  I want to print .pdf documents.  Help please.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Printing PDF from thumbdrive is only suported on the Officejet Pro 8730/8740 printers.

Why on earth would you name a printer the "OfficeJet Pro" and NOT give it the ability to print PDFs from the USB stick?

FACT: Offices print mostly documents, and not so often pictures. Offices use pdfs for documents, not jpgs. 

I feel ripped off! Had I known, I would not have purchased my Officejet PRO 8515.
