redirected to Microsoft store

I'm trying to scan from my Deskjet 2622 but I keep getting redirected to the Microsoft store to download the app. I don't want to use the app. Isn't there a way to download the software directly from a website without using an app anymore? I don't log into my computer in Microsoft mode. I tried that and I can't find any of my files that way.

@jolc68 If you've got Windows 10 S, it would redirect you to the Microsoft store by design, unless you exit out of Windows S mode, however, I see that you've mentioned Windows 8 on the description, please do clarify on that,

Also, if it is windows 8, have you installed a particular application to scan?
