@Nyah

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you wan to resize the document when you copy it on HP Officejet 7740 Printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch Copy.

  2. Swipe to the right or left for the desired number of copies, or touch the keypad icon , and then enter a number.

  3. Select Document or ID Card.

    Selecting Document or ID Card
    • For copying Documents or Photos, touch the Settings icon , and then specify the desired advanced copy settings:

      • 2-Sided Original: Touch to turn on or off duplex copying. If you are copying a double-sided original, touch On.

      • Resize: Change the size of the copy. Touch a preset, or touch Custom, input a value between 25 and 400 percent to reduce or enlarge the copy.

Click here and refer the document for more steps.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.

Tried to follow the instructions as shown below this postbox....and the 7740 decided to become recursive and not exhibit a 'start' or 'print' box....

Overall, I like the printer...but a function such as 'enlarge/reduce This to That' shouldn't require changing a default or setting up a new routine for something that has been as complex as a standard red brick on copies priced like toasters @ Walmart...

BTW....I could have spent less time snipping the image to my graphics program, jerk it to size, & print it....

But....I thought I could have the printer do it without having to spend that amount of time to do so....silly me....

I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer and update the firmware for the printer.

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
