i'm moving and would like to sell my printer, fax, scanner but heard the images of items copied, faxed and scanned coule be accessed from the internal memory.  does anyone know if this is true and how to erase and prep the device for resale?

As long as you perform a factory reset, your data will be secure. This machine does not contain a harddrive where data is stored.
