Product: Dell Inspiron
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just installd my new 6960 All-in-One. What a let down from my previous 8600. Anyway, I need to scan a document as a PDF and can't. The User Manual says : clcik scan and in the dialogue box upper right click "more". There is no dialogie box, just a list of suggested places to send scan. Ther is no "mpre" and no reference to PDDF .

 

Is it possible or did I buy a dog?

Please install its software and drivers to your computer first or try HP Scan Extended using the following software


   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi


Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:


(a) Hit Win key,
(b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
(c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

Hi Banheim,

Loaded software as suggested.

Double-clicked as suggested.

Got the following error messages:

1: "The HP scan application is currently in use with another task..." (No it isn't) I cvlick on "OK" button, next message underneath

2: "The HP Imagin Device was not found".

 

What now>
