Hi @Jabiru01,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To increase the resolution of a color scan using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) to 300 dpi on an HP scanner, follow these instructions depending on your operating system:

For Windows

Open HP Scan Software: Start by opening the HP Scan software on your Windows device.

Select a Scan Shortcut: Choose an existing scan shortcut or create a new one if needed.

Modify Scan Settings: Click on the "More" option to expand the advanced settings.

Set Resolution: Locate the resolution setting. From the dropdown list, select 300 dpi for the resolution.

Save Changes: Click the save icon next to the shortcut name to save your changes.

For Mac OS X

Open HP Easy Scan: Navigate to the Applications folder and open the HP Easy Scan software.

Select Scanner: Ensure that your HP scanner is selected in the software.

Adjust Scan Preset: Choose a scan preset or manually adjust the settings by selecting more options.

Set Resolution: Find the resolution setting and adjust it to 300 dpi.

Complete Scan: Once adjustments are set, click the Scan button to start scanning at the desired resolution.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
