It sounds like you're having trouble getting your HP Envy 6110e to scan. Let’s work through some steps to resolve this issue:

Step 1: Check Printer and Computer Connection

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  2. If using a USB connection, confirm the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.

Step 2: Use the HP Smart App

  1. Open the HP Smart App on your Windows 11 computer. If you don’t have it, download it from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Add your printer to the app by following the on-screen instructions.
  3. Navigate to the Scan section and try scanning a document.

Step 3:  Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from the link below to quickly and automatically perform several troubleshooting tasks known to resolve this issue. 
    When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browser's download capabilities.

Step 4: Update Printer Drivers

  1. Visit the HP Printer Drivers page and search for your printer model.
  2. Download and install the latest drivers for the HP Envy 6110e.
  3. Restart your computer and try scanning again.

Step 5: Check Scanner Hardware

  1. Open the scanner lid and ensure there are no obstructions or debris on the scanner glass.
  2. Place a document on the scanner bed and press the Copy button to test if the scanner hardware is functioning.

Step 6: Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  3. Try scanning again to see if the issue is resolved.
