We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP Color Laserjet MFP M477fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a perfectly working printing and scanning system, but after changing modem have huge problems to get either to work. The printer has been resolved after introducing the DNS addresses primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4.

All setting from my previous set up for scanning to email, both with live.com and gmail.com email addresses, have been retained but won't work any more.  Error message: Cannot resolve the SMTP server. Check the SMTP and DNS server settings with your system administrator or Internet Service Provider. What can be wrong , is there perhaps any problem with the IPv4 setting : as before I'm using auto IP,  HP appears to suggest to sue DCHP.

Is the printer currently set to DHCP or Auto IP?

Click the Wifi or Ethernet icon on the top-side of the printer screen, then tap the middle option (Wireless or Ethernet)

What is the exact IP Address of your printer?

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
