  • Verify Email Account Credentials: Double-check the email address and password you have entered for the scan-to-email feature. Ensure that the information is accurate, and there are no typos.
  • Update Email Password: If you've recently changed your email account password, make sure to update it on the printer settings accordingly. Sometimes, the stored password may be outdated.
  • App Passwords or Two-Factor Authentication: If your email provider uses two-factor authentication or app passwords, make sure to generate an app-specific password for the printer. Some email services require you to use app passwords for devices like printers.
  • Check for Account Lockout: Confirm that your email account is not locked or restricted due to multiple unsuccessful login attempts. Log in to your email account using the same credentials to ensure they are working.
  • SMTP Server Settings: Confirm that the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server settings on your printer are correctly configured. This includes the server address, port number, encryption method, and authentication settings.
