Hi,

Please let us know your scan folder configuration settings. to see any possible confufuration error there.

Also, right-click the network or wireless icon on your PC and select Open Network & Internet settings.

Can you see Public Network or Private Network listed beside the network icon at the top?

If it is set to Public, click Change connection properties and change it to Private, then check for any difference.

Of course, thanks for the information.

Using such a system folder as the desktop will likely cause issues, please use a dedicated folder.

Please create a subfolder on your desktop, such as scan.

From its folder properties open the share tab and click Share, then follow the wizard by selecting your user and press Done for the Network Access wizard.

Next, click Advanced Sharing, check 'Share this folder' and press Permissions, add your user with Full Permissions in here too.

Press OK twice, and copy the Network Path, it should only include the computer name and such folder (e.g. \\HPUSER-PC\Scan).

Additionally, do you have a password for your user? HP Laserjet printers must use a password-enabled account to access a shared folder, you myust have a password for the user, else it will fail with exact error.
