Welcome to the HP User Community.

 

The printer software for this printer has been discontinued.

That is, the printer software is not any longer available from HP.

 

The printer was never supported on Windows 11.

 

If you can find no other options, this company specializes in Scan software for unsupported printers.

NOTE:  This reference is FYI and is not intended as an endorsement of the software.

What happened?

HP has removed the printer old printer software for this and other similarly aged printers.

HP removes software due to support or security reasons.

 

NOTES

  

The Doctor program does not generally understand that missing software is not available. 

Instead of just exiting and saying, "Nope, not there", the doctor software might hang or spin.

What next?

Unless you saved a copy of the download for the software, you will have to look for it elsewhere.

For example,

  • Someone might have a private archive of the software installation package they will share.
  • You might find it on the 'net in one of the websites that specialize in archiving software for old printers.

 

                  Use caution when downloading any content from the Internet.  Not sure?  Don't touch it.
