Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

First check whether the latest FW is installed.
Download only the firmware: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/swdetails/hp-scanjet-pro-2000-s2-sheet-feed-scanner/28254681/sw...

Read all information carefully! Then install the FW. I recommend the USB connection!

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the ZIP,
File name: HP_ScanJet_Pro_2000_s2_0414y23_FW0.59.zip (11.0 MB)

Start setup after extraction.

 

Next, download this software package only: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/swdetails/hp-scanjet-pro-2000-s2-sheet-feed-scanner/28254681/sw...

Read all information carefully! The latest firmware must be installed for this software package!

 

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Uninstall and then reinstall the HP ScanJet drivers and tools (Windows) 
  2. Close all programs
  3. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE,
    File name: HPEasyStart-13.4.8-OJP9010_49_10_4647_1_Webpack.exe (310.0 MB)
  4. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  5. Restart the System again
  6. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
