If scanning a document is done, the software shows a preview of how the image will look like and is giving the measures of the image in inches. I want the measures to be in centimeters. How can I achieve that?

Hi,

I afraid it can not be changed with the HP Scan software.

 

The HP Scan software shows the preview scan dialog dimensions in US measure and it cannot be set to be shown as Metric, regardless your operating system configuration such as regional settings or the HP Scan settings.

 

Even by setting a custom scan size in CM, the preview size is listed as inches and managed in inches.

 

You may either convert the measures manually or look for a 3rd party scan applications which offer different functionality.

Hi, thanks, the settings you mention are correct (´metric´).

The software is HP´s CLJM477 Scan Driver using the autodetection mode for pageformat.

Maybe HP can improve this in a future update of the software?!

This is so stupid. Does not HP know that 95.5% of humanity uses the metric system, obviously for good reason?
