i want to scan documents wirelessly from my HP Envy printer to my desktop computer but it's not working- needs help.

Ensure Network Connection:

  • Printer: Make sure your HP ENVY printer is connected to the same wireless network as your desktop computer. Check the printer’s wireless signal icon on the control panel to verify connectivity.
  • Computer: Verify that your desktop is connected to the same network.

HP Software Installation:

  • Ensure that the full-feature HP driver and software package is installed on your desktop. If it's not, download and install it from the HP Support website.

Check HP Scan App:

  • Open the HP Printer Assistant on your computer. Click on "Scan" and then "Scan a Document or Photo" to check if the printer is detected.
  • Use the HP Smart App available for Windows, which provides enhanced scanning functionalities.

Firewall and Antivirus Settings:

  • Sometimes, firewall settings can block network communication. Temporarily disable the firewall to see if it resolves the issue. Remember to enable the firewall again after testing.

Scanner Settings:

  • Check that the scanner is set as the default in the software scanning options.
