got error ----Alert ID 8048 (scanWarning)  SMS specification not found -----tried re-install printer to no avail

@Gary_M1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

  • Which app are you using to scan?
  • Did you try printing to check if that works?
  • Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
