@BANDAO, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering a "scanner not available" error on your HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer with Windows 11, even though it worked fine before. Let's walk through some steps to get your scanner working again.
Restart Devices
- Power off your printer and computer.
- Unplug the printer from the power source for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and power on both devices.
Check Connection
- If you're using Wi-Fi, ensure both the printer and PC are on the same network.
- If using USB, try a different USB port or cable.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause scanning issues.
- Visit the official driver page: HP DeskJet 4155e Drivers
- Download and install the latest Full Feature Software and Drivers for Windows 11.
Check HP Smart App
If you're using the HP Smart app:
- Ensure it's updated via the Microsoft Store.
- If you see "Scanning is Currently Unavailable", follow this HP guide: HP printers - 'Scanning is Currently Unavailable' displays in the HP Smart app (Windows, macOS) | HP...
Enable 'Scan to Computer'
Sometimes this feature gets disabled:
- Open HP Printer Assistant (search in Start Menu).
- Go to Print, Scan & Fax > Manage Scan to Computer.
- Click Enable.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings
Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus to check if it's blocking the scan function.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
