The solution provided is not appropriate for the only current and supported version of Windows.  This solution is now obsolete and not helpful for current customers.  Please update your response to support the current version of Windows.

Also, please try to make a product that doesn't require customers to repair their product frequently.

Cannot find the setting to tell the scanner to scan from the document feeder.  this is an HP laptop connected wirelessly to Envy 7640.
