scanner showed error message that couldn't work. I forgot exact message so I tried it today and it filled the sheet with all black ink

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

 

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, simply turning the printer off and then back on again can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

  • Check Scanner Settings: Make sure that the scanner settings are correctly configured. Sometimes, settings like resolution or color mode can cause scanning issues. Check the user manual or the printer's settings menu for guidance.
  • Clean the Scanner Glass: Dust and debris on the scanner glass can interfere with scanning quality. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and some glass cleaner to gently clean the scanner glass.
